If you are planning a wedding in the state of Florida (even if you are not a Florida resident), you will need to obtain a Florida Marriage License. You can apply for a license at any courthouse in the State of Florida. You do not have to apply in the same county in which you wish to marry.
If you wish to obtain your marriage license in Franklin County, visit the Clerk of the Circuit Court website. Marriage Licenses are issued at the Clerk’s office located at 33 Market Street, Suite 203, Apalachicola, Florida 32320 and at the Carrabelle Annex located at 912 N.W. Avenue A, Carrabelle, Florida 32322.
Yes, there are many churches on the Forgotten Coast where you may be able to hold your ceremony. If you are interested in holding your ceremony in any of these churches, contact them directly to check availability.
