2021 Flagler Awards "The Henry"

We are proud to announce that the Franklin County TDC received “The Henry” award from Visit Florida for the Forgotten Coast Mobile App.

The mobile App was the brainchild of Commissioner Ricky Jones, and John Solomon, TDC Director, was tasked with designing the mobile App. The App pushes critical emergency information to residents and visitors, such as double red flag beach warnings, hurricane information, etc. In addition to vital information, the App also has trip planning tools, local event information, local business listings, and so much more.

Earlier this month, John Solomon and Commissioner Jones traveled to the Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism at the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida, to receive the “The Henry” award in person.

Visit Florida created the Flagler Awards to honor the countless individuals and organizations that help position Florida as the No. 1 travel destination. Each year the Flagler Awards pay tribute to the determined efforts of those who use their skill, resourcefulness, creativity, and innovative spirit to market Florida to the world.

Franklin County is honored to be a recipient of this prestigious award.
