Drop-in Art Class
ANERR, the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve in Eastpoint, has a fascinating nature center and indoor display with aquariums, live snakes, exhibits about our area’s wildlife, and more. You could occupy fun-loving little people for hours at this fantastic resource.
The Crooked River Lighthouse in Carrabelle and the Cape St. George Lighthouse on St. George Island offer charming museums, cool gift shops, and, of course, a luminous bird’s eye view from the top! Climbing up these massive towers is also an excellent way for courageous little ones to burn some energy.
It’s a no-brainer. The Forgotten Coast offers an eclectic variety of shopping experiences, from exclusive boutiques to surf shops and seafood markets. Gather the whole crew and spend the day shopping and sampling local restaurants in Carrabelle, Eastpoint, Apalachicola, or St. George Island!
The truth is that Florida’s tropical beauty requires rain. So, the trick is to look at rainy days as a gift of time to pursue other interests and activities. And just like we said before, it will stop raining soon. We promise.
