Summer Reading Program Presents a Baby & Toddler Time: Color Mixing

July 2 @ 10:30 am

Toddler at Program Learning

The 2025 Summer Reading Program colors the summer with fun on Wednesday, July 2 with Baby & Toddler Time: Color Mixing at 10:30 AM at the Eastpoint and Carrabelle Branches. During this program, toddlers will delve into primary colors and experiment with mixing them to observe the creation of new colors. Sponsored by the Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries, the Summer Reading Program features imaginative activities for all ages. All library programs are free and open to the public, and all supplies are provided—no library card needed.

This year’s Summer Reading Program theme, “Color Our World,” highlights art and creativity at the Franklin County Public Libraries. The program is designed to inspire and engage readers of all ages through a variety of artistic expressions. Guests are invited to celebrate every page, paint stroke, and performance that adds a little more color to the world.

Summer Reading is an annual program that brings children, teens, and families to local public libraries for reading and activities. A Summer Reading Program:

  • encourages lifelong reading habits,
  • supports reluctant readers with activities,
  • helps children maintain their skills over the summer,
  • generates interest in the library and books, and it being summer,
  • can just be good fun and provide an opportunity for family time.
