The Crooked River Lighthouse will host their Country Farmers Market every 1st and 3rd Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm ET at the foot of Carrabelle’s historic lighthouse. This outdoor market is the perfect opportunity to shop small and shop local for a variety of unique goods while supporting area vendors, artists, bakers, artisans and crafters. The lighthouse is located at 1975 Hwy 98 West, Carrabelle, FL.
The Country Market features an ever changing variety of locally sourced and handcrafted items. Shoppers may find organic farm-fresh produce, artisan breads, delicious cinnamon rolls, grass-fed beef, handmade totes, assorted jellies, stunning art and decor, fresh eggs, batch-roasted coffee, locally handcrafted jewelry, balms and sprays, unique t-shirts, hot sauces, salsa, plants and more.
While at the lighthouse, guests are invited to explore the free Keeper’s House Museum and Gift Shop, open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm ET. The museum features fascinating maritime history, including the lighthouse’s original historic Fresnel lens. The Gift Shop offers handcrafted items, jewelry, nautical and coastal art, souvenirs and keepsakes. For a small fee, visitors can also climb to the top of the tallest lighthouse on the Forgotten Coast for a breathtaking panoramic view of St. George Sound.
New and returning vendors are welcome to join any time for $10 per market by emailing carrabellelighthouse@gmail.com. For more information, call 850-697-2732 or visit www.crookedriverlighthouse.com. Funded in part by the Franklin County Tourist Development Council.
