Located in the heart of Apalachicola, the original Oyster City Brewing Company was founded in 2014 by Cassie Gary, Susan Gary, Rex Humphries, and Bo Walker. Cassie, Susan, and Rex, owners of Apalachicola’s Owl Cafe and Tap Room, have long shared a passion for fine wine and craft beer. Clayton Mathis, head brewer, and General Manager joined them in 2015. Seeds planted through experimentation and small batch-tinkering have borne fruit of five core beers(Hooter Brown, Apalach IPA, Mill Pond Dirty Blonde, Mangrove Pale Ale, and Tate’s Helles lager) and dozens of seasonal and local favorites varying from month to month. Incredible local and regional support has allowed OCBC to expand across Florida and into Alabama over the last few years, and have plans to get their delicious craft beer into the hands of as many people as possible!
