SUMMARY:Crooked River Lighthouse Full Moon Climb with Blues and BBQ
DESCRIPTION:The Crooked River Lighthouse will be hosting a special Blues & BBQ Full Moon Lighthouse event on Sunday\, December 19\, 2021\, from 5-8 pm in Carrabelle\, FL. This special outdoor event will feature live Blues music\, a glowing fire pit\, and delicious BBQ.  Visitors can enjoy this opportunity to see the gorgeous natural surroundings of the St. George Sound and Carrabelle Beach under the evening sky. Live music will be provided by the Musical duo\, “Blues Meets Girl”. Bring a chair and enjoy the evening. The museum and gift shop will be open for browsing and shopping. Admission for this special Full Moon event is $10 per person. (Climbs are not included in this price.) \nBlues Meets Girl is a collaboration of British Blues veteran Mr. Downchild and Texas-born singer/songwriter Kasimira. Together they weave their influences and experiences creating Down Home\, Smokin’ Sexy Blues.  Plus a delicious BBQ vendor will be on hand with pulled pork sandwiches\, baked beans\, and coleslaw. \nFor this month’s special event\, admission must be purchased in advance. Admission cost is $10 per person and includes live music\, fire pit\, delicious BBQ\, and museum access. Admission can be paid online at https://www.crookedriverlighthouse.com/category/programs-events/ or in the Crooked River Lighthouse Gift Shop. \nIn addition\, some guests may also choose to enjoy evening tower climbs. The climb to the top of the tallest lighthouse on the Forgotten Coast rewards climbers with breathtaking views of the bay. Climbers must be 44” tall. A climb timeslot reservation is required and can be made by calling 850-697-2732. Climbers will pay the climbing fee (adult $5\, child $3) in the gift shop during the event. \nA limited number of climbers (max of 7) are allowed at one time. There will be a time limit for viewing from the top.  Guests who would like a more leisurely climbing experience are welcome to enjoy one of the daytime climbs available every Wednesday through Sunday. Special for this date\, a vintage flea market has also been added. \n\n\nIn addition to the locally-made\, hand-crafted goods\, shoppers will be able to browse a little of everything from thrift-store worthy scores to high-end antiques. Vendors (new and returning) are welcome to bring their much-loved treasures to the market to find them a new home. The market welcomes an assortment of products such as home décor\, furniture\, vintage jewelry\, music\, antiques\, tools\, ceramics and kitchenware\, books\, art\, toys\, and gently used clothing. Due to the popularity of the Full Moon Climbs\, advance reservations are required for those who wish to climb the lighthouse tower during this event. DESCRIPTION:The Crooked River Lighthouse will be hosting a Full Moon Lighthouse Climb on Tuesday\, April 27\, 2021\, from 7:00-10:00 pm in Carrabelle\, FL. Visitors can enjoy this opportunity to see the St. George Sound and Carrabelle Beach’s gorgeous natural surroundings under the evening sky. Guests can also enjoy the fire pit (weather permitting). The museum and gift shop will be open for browsing and shopping. And\, there will be live music by the Bog Lilies! \nThe climb to the top of the tallest Forgotten Coast lighthouse rewards bold climbers with breathtaking views of the bay. The cost is $8 for adults and $3 for kids. All climbers must be 44 inches tall. Due to the Full Moon Climbs’ popularity\, reservations are required for those who wish to climb the lighthouse tower during this event. COVID protocols limit one party at a time to climb the tower\, and each party will exit before the next one climbs. A limited number of climbers are allowed in each party. There will be a time limit for viewing from the top. Guests who would like a more leisurely climbing experience are welcome to enjoy one of the daytime climbs available every Wednesday through Sunday. \nCrooked River Lighthouse is located in Carrabelle\, just west of the Carrabelle Public Beach Park at 1975 Hwy 98 W\, Carrabelle. They are also selling hot-boiled peanuts. \nSinger/songwriter Susan David will again provide live music on the Keeper’s House’s front porch! \nAt 1:00 pm\, local herbalist Denise Williams will take visitors for a guided medicinal plant walk. Denise will lead guests for this 30-minute walk around the lighthouse’s grounds and explore its natural resources. The walk costs $5 and accepts a max of 10 people. \nGuests can also visit the free Museum and browse inside the Lighthouse Gift Shop for unique nautical gifts. Also\, shoppers have the unique opportunity to climb to the lighthouse’s top for a breathtaking view of the Bay. \nNew and returning vendors are always welcome. The cost to be a vendor is $10. DESCRIPTION:The Crooked River Lighthouse will be hosting a special Full Moon Lighthouse event on Sunday\, March 28\, 2021 from 7:00-10:00 pm in Carrabelle\, FL. This special outdoor event will feature live music\, a glowing fire pit\, and low country boil. Visitors can enjoy this opportunity to see the gorgeous natural surroundings of the St. George Sound and Carrabelle Beach under the evening sky. Live music will be provided by the Rio Jazz Trio playing Blues\, Ballads\, Bebop and Bossanova. Bring a chair and enjoy the evening. The museum and gift shop will be open for browsing and shopping. Admission for this special Full Moon event is $10 per person. (Climbs are not included in this price.) \nFor this month’s special event\, admission must be purchased in advance. Admission cost is $10 per person and includes the live music\, fire pit\, low country boil and museum access. Admission can be paid online or at the Crooked River Lighthouse Gift Shop. \n \nIn addition\, some guests may also choose to enjoy evening tower climbs. The climb to the top of the tallest Forgotten Coast lighthouse rewards climbers with breathtaking views of the bay. Climbers must be 44” tall.
