DESCRIPTION:The Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce invites all to a fun-filled time along the historic Carrabelle waterfront. The 2026 Carrabelle Riverfront Festival is a day of family-friendly activities\, live music\, a car show\, unique entertainment\, colorful arts & craft\, and delicious food on Saturday\, April 25 from 10 am – 6 pm ET. There will be plenty for both the young and old to enjoy along the beautiful harbor at this FREE and pet-friendly festival. \nThe festival will feature fun for the whole family\, including children’s mini-train rides\, a bouncy house\, and a kids’ craft activity station. Plus\, a variety of vendors will be on hand with kid-friendly favorites like face painting and cotton candy\, adding to the festive atmosphere. \nFeet will be tapping to the upbeat favorites of some gifted musicians\, including the talented father/son duo of Danny Welch of Sumpin’ Old & Sumpin’ New who cover multiple genres\, with a little comedy thrown in and Steve’s Steel Drums playing Caribbean and Beach music. Guests will also be delighted by the wonderful dance performances of the Forgotten Coast Dancing Witches. The entertainment doesn’t end there as there will also be fun music by DJ Beanie Baby. \nTons of festival vendors will be offering unique arts and craft items\, delicious food\, yummy treats and interesting products. Food vendors will be offering shrimp\, conch fritters\, BBQ\, kettle corn\, funnel cakes\, shaved ice\, cotton candy\, and more. Plus\, there will be regional\, family-friendly exhibitors with engaging displays and Tate’s Hell State Forest’s Smokey Bear on Avenue B. Visitors can explore the local shops\, museums\, and cafes for even more choices. \nCurfew Masonic Lodge #73 will be hosting a Car Show\, with classic\, vintage\, and custom vehicles from 11 am – 4 pm ET at George Sands Park. Car collectors and enthusiasts will showcase their prized automobiles\, offering guests the opportunity to admire a variety of cars\, trucks\, and more at 206 Hwy 98\, Carrabelle. \nThe Airing of the Quilts\, hosted by the Lanark Village Wandering Star Quilters\, returns to Sands Park from 9:30 am – 3 pm ET\, transforming the park into an outdoor quilt gallery. SUMMARY:Holiday on the Harbor & Boat Parade of Lights
DESCRIPTION:The Carrabelle Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to the 2025 Holiday on the Harbor Festival and Boat Parade of Lights on Saturday\, December 13 from 1:00-7:00 pm ET on Marine Street and along the harbor in Carrabelle\, FL. This festival will feature terrific children’s activities\, arts and crafts\, delicious food\, holiday music\, and of course\, the lighted boat parade. This favorite Christmas tradition on the Forgotten Coast is free and family-friendly. \nThe children’s activities will include visits with Santa\, mini-train rides\, a bouncy house (courtesy of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department) and a book giveaway by Bring Me a Book Franklin. In keeping with the Carrabelle tradition\, Santa will make his grand entrance on the City of Carrabelle Fire Truck. Children and families are welcome to come by Santa’s booth for a visit and photos with Santa. \nThis festive event will also feature an array of yummy holiday treats and delicious food to enjoy throughout the day. Shoppers can browse a wonderful selection of unique art\, crafts\, and locally made goods—perfect for finding those special holiday gifts. Adding to the cheerful atmosphere\, the festival will be filled with lively holiday music to get everyone in the spirit of the season. \nWhile in Carrabelle\, visitors are invited to complete their holiday shopping with unique and one of a kind items at Carrabelle’s wonderful stores\, gift shops and art galleries conveniently located within walking distance of the festival. Then guests can enjoy delicious fresh seafood and tasty home-style cooking at one of several cafes\, restaurants or festival food vendors. \nAfter enjoying hours of food\, festivities\, and fun\, festival-goers are invited to watch the magical Christmas parade of boats decked out in lights\, décor\, and holiday outfits! Festival-goers are invited to find a spot along the water and enjoy this parade with double the lights as the Carrabelle harbor beautifully reflects back the glow of the lighted boats. Boaters can see this special nautical tradition from an unbeatable viewing point by entering their own decorated boat for free! \nThe parade starts around 6:15 pm and proceeds around the Carrabelle harbor between the Marine St. Fishing Pavilion and the Tillie Miller Bridge so it can be enjoyed from many viewing spots. (Viewers are asked to remain in public access areas only and avoid private property.) Following the Boat Parade the boat parade trophies\, including the Marina Challenge Trophy\, will be awarded at an awards ceremony shortly after at C-Quarters Marina.

DESCRIPTION:The Carrabelle History Museum is excited to again be hosting a fun\, historical\, cultural\, and natural resources expo on Avenue B as part of the 30th Annual Carrabelle Riverfront Festival. This educational expo will be held on Saturday\, June 12\, 2021\, 10 am – 6 pm in Carrabelle\, FL\, on the street in front of the Carrabelle History Museum. Admission is free and open to the public. \nThis expo on “Avenue B: the Place to See” allows guests to experience the region’s rich culture\, natural resources\, and local history.  The Avenue B Experience will feature educational activities\, exciting displays and installations\, regional folk craft demonstrations\, local and state resource experts\, and live animals. These exhibitors showcase the beautiful resources that make our area unique. \nTry your hand at the wooden boat building. Get up and personal with some local wild animal ambassadors. Learn about local plants and their historical and current uses\, including a few survival skills. Discover the local history through the three history museums of Carrabelle.  Find out how Carrabelle was transformed into a training camp during WWII or what the keeper of a lighthouse recorded in his daily log.  Learn about local archaeology\, including animal skulls and pottery shards. Explore the booms and busts of Carrabelle’s history of by-gone eras when local logging and lumber merchants\, steamships\, party boats\, and shrimping vessels lined the deep Carrabelle River.  Bone up on your knowledge of native wildlife and learn about the fantastic resources in our area\, parks\, and forests.   Hold a 20\,000-year-old fossil at the Carrabelle History Museum. See a real WWII DUKW (amphibious truck).  See shark jaws and marine biology specimens from FSU Coastal and Marine Lab! All this and more can be found within the Avenue B experience. Admission is free and open to the public. \nThe expo billed as “Avenue B: the Place to See” allows guest to experience the rich culture\, natural resources and local history of the region.  The Avenue B Experience will feature educational activities\, exciting interactive displays and installations\, regional folk craft demonstrations\, local and state resource experts\, live animals\, and wonderful hands-on activities. In past years\, the interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities were a huge success with festival attendees with hundreds of folks enjoying the expo. These exhibitors showcase the wonderful resources that make our area unique. \nBone up on your survival skills by learning to use a flint to start a fire. Take a tour and learn to identify edible local plants and natural remedies. Discover the local history through the three history museums of Carrabelle. Find out how Carrabelle was transformed into a training camp during WWII or what the keeper of a lighthouse recorded in his daily log. Try your hand at wooden boat building. Meet some local animals. Discover the booms and busts of Carrabelle’s history by stepping back to by-gone eras when local logging and lumber merchants\, steamships\, party boats and shrimping vessels lined the vast and deep Carrabelle River.
