His pulse is so low that Saunders and his assistant Max believe he’s dead – and in a frantic attempt to salvage the evening\, Saunders persuades Max to get into Merelli’s costume and fool the audience into thinking he’s Il Stupendo. Max succeeds and lives up to his idol\, but Merelli regains consciousness and gets into the identical costume\, ready to perform. Now two opera singers are running around in the same costume and two women are running around in lingerie\, each thinking she is with Il Stupendo. DESCRIPTION:Accidentally Wealthy chronicles the story of Reggie and Grace Worthing\, recent newlyweds embarking on their new life together\, a new life marred by tragic pasts.  Both were widowed under mysterious circumstances.  Reggie lost two wives to accidents. His bank account has grown with each loss. His new bride\, Grace\, lost her husband to suicide\, afterwards\, her bank account also saw a healthy increase. Accidents? Suicide? Or was it murder?  Returning from a month-long honeymoon abroad it appears that someone’s life is in danger. Is it Reggie’s or is it Grace’s? Could one of these seemingly carefree people be a murderer? Or\, are they truly Accidentally Wealthy? \nAccidentally Wealthy will be performed at the Chaman Auditorium in Apalachicola\, which is located on Highway 98 (Avenue E) between 12th and 14th Street (also called Couch Wagoner Blvd). SUMMARY:Sweet Tea on the Front Porch
DESCRIPTION:“Sweet Tea on the Front Porch” is a play in three acts. The first act\, “The Escape”\, is a drama taking place in January of 1923\, surrounding the efforts of two middle-aged women in Apalachicola to help a fugitive from injustice. The second act is a comedy\, “Pushing Up Daisies” which takes place in the summer of 1934. It continues the story of two now elderly ladies helping rid the world of evil in their own special way. The third and final act is a mystery taking place in 1946 and involves a returning son of the south and his wish to hold on to the family homeplace. Its title is “A Treasure Found”. All three acts are woven together to provide a bitter truth from our state’s history with a heavy dose of comedy and a touch of mystery as justice prevails.
