This outdoor market is the perfect opportunity to shop small and shop local for a variety of unique goods while supporting area vendors\, artists\, bakers\, artisans and crafters. The lighthouse is located at 1975 Hwy 98 West\, Carrabelle\, FL. \nThe Country Market features an ever changing variety of locally sourced and handcrafted items. Shoppers may find organic farm-fresh produce\, artisan breads\, delicious cinnamon rolls\, grass-fed beef\, handmade totes\, assorted jellies\, stunning art and decor\, fresh eggs\, batch-roasted coffee\, locally handcrafted jewelry\, balms and sprays\, unique t-shirts\, hot sauces\, salsa\, plants and more. \nImmediately following the Market\, a Smartphone Photography Class will be offered by Dave Stahler\, a regular vendor at the Country Market. Dave has been a commercial and industrial photographer for over 40 years. He will share tips and tricks to get the best photos on a smartphone and will cover composition and outdoor landscape lighting\, the two main ingredients of good photography with any camera. \nClasses begin June 7 and will be held at Carrabelle’s lighthouse on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month at 1:00 pm\, right after the Market. Each class will last about 90 minutes. Cost is $25 per person and includes time in the classroom as well as on location. Attendees will pay at the door. Participants can sign up at www.DavidStahler.com or by emailing David.Stahler@icloud.com. \nWhile at the lighthouse\, guests are invited to explore the free Keeper’s House Museum and Gift Shop\, open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm ET. The museum features fascinating maritime history\, including the lighthouse’s original historic Fresnel lens. The Gift Shop offers handcrafted items\, jewelry\, nautical and coastal art\, souvenirs and keepsakes. For a small fee\, visitors can also climb to the top of the tallest lighthouse on the Forgotten Coast for a breathtaking panoramic view of St. George Sound. \nThe Country Farmer’s Markets are held every 1st\, 3rd and 5th Saturday at the foot of Carrabelle’s lighthouse and are actively recruiting new and returning vendors. Visitors are invited to festive Kick-off Parties on Monday\, June 16 at 11:00 AM ET at both library branches\, where they can explore the exciting lineup of upcoming events and participate in chalk art\, creative games\, and snacks. \nWeek One (June 16th-20th) \n\nJune 16 – Kickoff Parties w/ chalk art & games @11:00 am at both branches\nJune 18 – Toddler Time: Color Sorting @ 10:30 am ET at both branches\nJune 20 – Teen Button Making @ 10:30 am at Eastpoint and 2:30 pm at Carrabelle\n\nSummer Reading is an annual program that brings children\, teens\, and families to local public libraries for reading and activities. A Summer Reading Program: \n\nencourages lifelong reading habits\,\nsupports reluctant readers with activities\,\nhelps children maintain their skills over the summer\,\ngenerates interest in the library and books\, and it being summer\,\ncan just be good fun and provide an opportunity for family time.

DESCRIPTION:At the 2025 Summer Reading Program\, teens take time for art on Friday\, June 20 with a teen craft workshop –  Button Making – at 10:30 AM at the Eastpoint Branch and 2:30 PM at the Carrabelle Branch. At this craft program\, teens will explore their creativity as they design and create unique buttons at a fun button-making session. Sponsored by the Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries\, the Summer Reading Program features imaginative activities for all ages. All library programs are free with all materials provided and open to the public with no library card required. \nThis year’s Summer Reading Program theme\, “Color Our World\,” highlights art and creativity at the Franklin County Public Libraries.
